<--- Raid your closet for orange and maroon! I've had this slouchy sweater for years (thanks, mom!) and found these awesome vintage heels at Goodwill for around $5 about a year ago. I ordered the skirt ($16 at the time I ordered) and tights ($7) on Amazon. (Excuse my blurry photo. XD It's hard to get a dog to pose with you! Even with Scooby Snacks...)

Velma has a very natural makeup look, as her hair and glasses are the signature piece, here. I added her freckles in as a little detail and curled my hair under to achieve her long bob. --->

Two-In-One Tutorial: Long-Lasting Date Night Look & Disguising Puffy Eyes

My beau and I went out to eat a couple weeks ago, so I got myself all dolled up, and filmed the process! I wake up with puffy eyes at least 25% of the time, so I love this makeup look for those days; I hope my pointers help you out, too!

I recently purchased Rimmel London's "Fix & Perfect" primer for a little over $6 at Target and I'm very happy with it! I have the "Apricot" version (001, I believe, but there is also a colorless version.) If you get it, don't be scared by how dark it is, it goes on very sheer, as you can see in the video. :)

I also used Rimmel's Clean Finish foundation (in "Ivory.") I'm sure there are better foundations out there, but for only spending about $4, I'm happy with it. The only real downfall of the product is that it gets tacky and difficult to spread very quickly. I fixed that by adding some of my (Clean & Clear Dual Action) moisturizer to it. That being said, the fact that it gets tacky can be used to your advantage, because it makes layering makeup much easier. For instance, I could have completely concealed the blemishes between my brows, and the zit on my cheek by adding one or two more layers. (I don't do that, though; I dislike looking totally pore-less, like plastic, haha.) Something I really like about the design of the container is that the cap has a little applicator paddle attached to it. It gives you a lot more control over how much you put on your face, haha.

The Turnout!

Here's the "Before & After" comparison, as well as a pic of how well it held up! (My face looks shiny in the last one because of the flash. So, to the naked eye, it looked even better than in the photo, haha.)

I was amazed that my makeup was still intact after 10 hours, and I think that says a lot about these products!

I Forgot...

I'm beating myself over the head for not mentioning or even using one of my favorite products, in the video, though! I LOVE Garnier's Anti-Puff eye roller. There's caffeine in it, which does wonders for de-puffing, and the metal applicator feels fantastic on the skin. I roll it all the way around my eye socket and I can always feel it working immediately after application. It may not make the puffy-ness go away completely, but my eyes sure feel and look better after using it!

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman (Selina Kyle) Makeup Tutorial

I'm a hee-uge fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman series (seriously, I cried opening night at Dark Knight Rises; the only other times I've cried in a movie theater were through the last two Harry Potter movies), I lurve Anne Hathaway (as any gal who grew up watching Princess Diaries should), and I always thought Catwoman was an empowering and sexy villain/hero/I-have-no-clue-what-she-is. So, seeing as Halloween is coming up in a few weeks, I thought a Catwoman tutorial would be fun and fitting!

I liked that they made Catwoman's makeup pay homage to the comics in the sense that it has very defined lines and is incredibly bold and cartoon-like. This was such a fun look to recreate!

One thing that I'd like to mention (since I didn't put it in the video) is regarding the lips. You want to make them look nice and full. The top lip should have a defined cupids bow and I would suggest going slightly outside of your natural lip-line (is that a term?) just in the center of your upper lip, keeping it angular and exaggerated. You can also add a dab of brown eyeshadow in the center of your lower lip to fake the "dimple" that Anne Hathaway has in hers—it creates a very pouty look.

All you need is a pair of black skinnies, a fitted black long-sleeved top, a big belt, the mask/ears, and a kick-butt pair of stiletto boots to complete the look! Heck, it wouldn't be hard to convince most guys to be Batman for Halloween; this would make an awesome couples costume!

Eyebrow Care & Tweezing

I wanted to find a quote from one of the Princess Diaries books for this post, but I'm having zero luck finding it online! </3 Anyhoo, I'm going to do my best to share it with you from memory, haha.

Paolo (the hilarious hair and makeup artist who, I assume, everyone else loves, too) is explaining the importance of groomed eyebrows and elaborates by saying something along the lines of, "They say your eyes are windows into the soul. If that is the case, your eyebrows are the curtains to the windows of your soul. You don't want ugly curtains that look like they come from J. C. of Penny, do you?"

I got a kick out of it, and figured y'all might, too. ;D

If you want to look your best, having neat and tidy eyebrows is a must. Some women are lucky enough to naturally have great brows—while others have to manipulate theirs into greatness. ;) The way you shape your eyebrows is what can make your look one-of-a-kind and can also completely change the "mood" of your makeup, so to speak. Everyone associates Audrey Hepburn with her cropped hair, big doe-eyes, and (of course) her bold, "boyish," brows. Deciding what your brow style will be becomes much easier when you're not terrified that you'll mess them up, right? Lucky for you, Frugal Girl Glamour has rushed to your aid!

Even if I don't have time to do makeup before I go out, I always make time to tidy up my brows and fill them in. It's comparable to taking a shower for me, haha.

Tweezing is, by far, the cheapest way to go when it comes to creating perfect brows. I am presenting this tutorial to you because I spent years and years trying to get it right; over and over again! I'm hoping that I can keep beginners from making the same mistakes that I did for so long. :)

Supplies Needed:

• Slanted Tweezers
• Nail Scissors (or any other small scissors you can find)
• White Eyeliner
• Eyeliner to Match Brows
• Clear Mascara/Brow Gel
• Angled Eyeshadow Brush
• Eyeshadow/Powder to Match Brows (if you dislike using a pencil)

• Brow Razor
• Brow/Lash Comb
• Brow Stencils (e.l.f. sells a kit full of 'em for a dollar!)

Bonus Tips!

If you're blind as a bat, like me, wear contacts if you have them. Glasses get in the way!

Begin with a clean face. If you find that you have trouble gripping the hairs because your skin is very oily—and washing makes your skin produce excess sebum—apply a pressed powder or a little corn starch over the area to let it absorb the oil. Wipe off with a damp cloth before tweezing.

Remember that less is more. Your brows will grow back, but you also have to live with crooked/mismatched/over-tweezed eyebrows for a few weeks.

Step away from the mirror frequently to check that your brows match, and that you're not going overboard.

I have heard that you can apply a little Orajel, in order to numb the area that you're tweezing, but I've never tried it. I found that the pain is something you get used to over time, anyway.

You can rub some witch hazel or lavender oil on your skin after tweezing to soothe the tender areas. They will both help reduce redness as well.

If you dye your hair bright colors, it's really eye catching to fill in your eyebrows in that shade! Don't be afraid to give it a try. :)

You definitely don't have to follow all of these steps every time you tweeze (especially if you maintain your brows regularly) but this is the easiest way I have found to shape my brows without making mistakes.

I apologize in advance for the air conditioner running in the background and my greasy hair! I was working on my No 'Poo post/video at the same time, so I let my hair get filthy in order to prove how well the method does clean your hair. :)
